Anchor for medium-heavy loads in hollow and solid elements. Eye bolt.
Eye bolt
To be installed in solid masonry surfaces only. The installation surface will support the tension
of the cable system. DO NOT install in surfaces in poor condition. It is your responsibility
to ensure that the masonry will withstand both installation and tension of the finished netting or fence.
With a hammer drill and masonry bit, drill a 12 mm diameter hole, at least 55 mm deep. Blow out the dust
or debris from the drilled hole and apply a small quantity of adhesive inside the hole.
Push the shield anchor into the hole. Tap the top of the anchor with a hammer to ensure it is fully
seated in the hole. Apply a small amount of adhesive inside the installed anchor.
Screw the eyebolt (with the hex nut and washer) into the installed shield anchor. Keep
turning the eyebolt to pull the threaded wedge further up into the shield anchor which pushes the
four sides of the anchor against the walls of the drilled hole.
Maximum spacing between Eye bolt and Shield Anchor Corner Hardware is 50 feet. For runs longer
than 50 feet, install multiple Eye bolt and Shield Anchor Corner Hardware along the path of the cable.
Each of the eye bolts (for this hardware) will hold at least 1 large, 2 medium or 3 small turnbuckle hooks or 2 connection thimbles.
