Standards & Certificates Overview

Main Public Resource for Document Requirements

Standards and certificates help buyers define product requirements, material identity, document scope and inspection expectations before quotation. This page is a public reference for document planning and does not replace project engineering approval.

WISINE can discuss standards and document requirements according to product type, material grade, drawing, quantity, project documents and destination requirements. Order-specific requirements should not be assumed.

Document Overview Card

Confirm Before Quotation

  • Applicable product, material or drawing standard
  • Material certificate or EN 10204 document requirement
  • Inspection document and third-party inspection requirement if specified
  • Order-specific NACE / MR0175, PED, CE, ISO or project requirement note if applicable
  • Marking, packing, cleaning and document language requirements if specified
Material Certificates and EN 10204 Documents

Material Certificates, MTC and EN 10204 3.1 / 3.2

Material certificates can be discussed when required. EN 10204 3.1 / 3.2 documents can be discussed according to order requirements, and the required document scope should be confirmed before quotation for each product or order.

Material Certificate / MTC

May identify material grade, heat number, batch reference, standard and certificate scope where applicable to the supplied order.

  • Confirm material grade and product form
  • Confirm standard and equivalent designation
  • Confirm whether certificate is required before quotation

EN 10204 3.1

Can be discussed for applicable orders where a 3.1 document is specified by project documents or purchase requirements.

  • Confirm product type and material grade
  • Confirm document language and marking requirements
  • Confirm document availability before quotation

EN 10204 3.2

Can be discussed when specified, but it usually requires additional coordination and should be confirmed before quotation.

  • Confirm inspection party or project document requirement
  • Confirm witness or document review scope if required
  • Do not assume 3.2 availability without order review
Inspection and Third-Party Documents

Inspection Documents Can Be Discussed When Required

Inspection documents can be discussed according to product type, drawings, standards, quantity, surface finish and project requirements. Third-party inspection should be confirmed as an order-specific requirement and not assumed.

Inspection Document Planning

Dimensional Inspection

Can cover drawing dimensions, diameter, length, thread, hole pattern, tolerance or other agreed checks where required.

Material and Batch Review

Can include review of material certificate, heat number, batch reference or traceability information when required.

Surface / Coating Documents

Passivation, polishing, coating, plating or marking documents can be discussed if they are specified in the RFQ.

PMI Discussion

PMI can be discussed as an order-specific requirement. Do not assume PMI is included unless it is confirmed before quotation.

Third-Party Inspection

Third-party inspection can be discussed when specified by project documents, but it is not automatic for all orders.

Packing / Export Documents

Packing list, labels, marking and export document requirements should be stated in the RFQ if required.

Standards by Product / Material Type

Fastener Standards, Material Standards and Product Documents

Standards should be confirmed according to product type, material grade, drawing notes and project documents. Equivalent designations should be confirmed according to order requirements.

NACE / MR0175, PED, CE, ISO and Project Requirements

NACE / MR0175, PED, CE, ISO or other project-specific requirements should be confirmed as order-specific requirements and not assumed. This page does not claim automatic compliance, automatic certification or guaranteed approval for any product.

NACE / MR0175

Can be discussed when project corrosion-service requirements are specified, but suitability and document scope should be confirmed before quotation.

PED / CE / ISO

Project references to PED, CE or ISO should be reviewed as order-specific requirements. Do not assume product-level certification without confirmation.

Project Documents

Customer specifications, drawings, inspection plans and procurement notes should be shared before quotation when they define document requirements.
