Configuration-driven Stud Bolt, Nut and Washer RFQ
Flange Bolting Sets
Prepare flange bolting set RFQs for fully threaded or double-end Stud Bolts, Heavy Hex Nuts, Single-Nut and Two-Nut Configurations, optional Washers where requested, inch or metric sizes, UNC, UNF or metric threads, component identification, matched packing, documents and inspection requests.
Set requirements should follow the drawing, purchase specification or buyer-approved component list before quotation review.
Product Scope
This page supports configuration-driven Flange Bolting Set RFQs. It is for buyers preparing complete set requirements, not for replacing the individual Stud Bolt, Heavy Hex Nut or Washer pages.
Stud Bolt Sets
Fully threaded Stud Bolt sets, double-end Stud Bolt sets and cut-to-length Stud Bolts can be reviewed against the purchase specification.
Nut Configuration
Single-Nut and Two-Nut Configurations should be stated clearly with the required nut quantity per Stud Bolt.
Washer Requests
Flat Washers or Plate Washers may be included where requested and confirmed in the buyer-approved component list.
Thread Inputs
Inch-series, metric, UNC, UNF and metric thread requirements should be provided as RFQ fields.
Set Identification
Component marking, item identification, set labeling and matched packing can be reviewed for project orders.
Drawing Review
Drawing-based review may cover Stud Bolt form, length, thread, nut requirements, optional Washers, marking, packing and documents.
Set Components
Flange Bolting Set quotations should identify each component in the requested set: Stud Bolt, Heavy Hex Nut, optional Washer, marking or identification requirement, packing configuration, and document or inspection request.
- Stud Bolt specification, grade, form, diameter, length and thread.
- Heavy Hex Nut specification, grade, quantity and thread requirement.
- Washer type, specification and quantity where requested.
- Component list, set identification, packing and document requirements.
Stud Bolt Forms
Stud Bolt form should be stated from the drawing or purchase specification. Detailed ASTM A193 Stud Bolt procurement remains on the dedicated Stud Bolt page.
Fully Threaded Stud Bolts
Use when the requested set calls for fully threaded Stud Bolts with specified diameter, length and thread system.
Double-End Stud Bolts
Use when the drawing or specification calls for threaded ends with a defined center body or plain shank.
Cut-to-Length Stud Bolts
Cut-to-length requests should include total length, thread requirement, quantity and finish or coating input.
Drawing-Controlled Special Forms
Special forms should be reviewed from approved drawings and project specifications before quotation.
Nut Configuration
Single-Nut Configuration
One nut total per Stud Bolt where specifically requested.
Two-Nut Configuration
Two nuts total per Stud Bolt, normally one at each end where applicable.
Buyers should confirm Heavy Hex Nut specification, buyer-specified nut grade, thread compatibility review, nut quantity and separate component identification before quotation.
Washer Configuration
Flat Washers and Plate Washers may be reviewed where they are requested in the buyer-approved component list. Buyers should state Washer type, Washer specification, material or grade input, Washer quantity, and whether Washers should be packed separately or grouped with matched sets.
Washers are included only where requested and confirmed in the buyer-approved component list.
Standards and Grade Inputs
Stud Bolt, Heavy Hex Nut and Washer requirements should be confirmed from the purchase specification or buyer-approved component list.
| Buyer-Specified Set Input | What to Confirm | Safety Boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Stud Bolt specification and grade | Specification, grade, form, size, length and thread requirement. | Buyer specification controls the requirement. |
| Heavy Hex Nut specification and grade | Nut specification, grade, thread and quantity per Stud Bolt. | No universal grade matching is published. |
| Washer specification and quantity | Washer type, specification, quantity and packing requirement where requested. | Washer inclusion follows the buyer-approved component list. |
| B7 / 2H context | Buyer-provided Stud Bolt and Heavy Hex Nut grade inputs. | Context only; compatibility remains specification-controlled. |
| B7M / 2HM context | Buyer-provided Stud Bolt and Heavy Hex Nut grade inputs. | Context only; compatibility remains specification-controlled. |
| B8 / Grade 8 context | Buyer-provided Stud Bolt and Heavy Hex Nut grade inputs. | Context only; compatibility remains specification-controlled. |
| B8M / Grade 8M context | Buyer-provided Stud Bolt and Heavy Hex Nut grade inputs. | Context only; compatibility remains specification-controlled. |
| Other buyer-specified combinations | Purchase specification, component list, finish, documents and inspection request. | Subject to supply review before quotation. |
Thread and Dimension Inputs
Provide field-level requirements for nominal diameter, total length, thread length, thread system, thread pitch, Stud Bolt form, Nut thread, Washer size, drawing or purchase specification, and quantity of sets.
Drawing-controlled dimensions should be confirmed from the buyer’s approved drawing or purchase specification.
Finish and Coating
Finish and coating requirements should be stated for each component where applicable. Set review may include plain finish where specified, special coating or plating, component-finish compatibility, buyer-specified finish, packing protection and feasibility review.
Special coating or plating requirements are subject to component grade, dimensions, quantity and process feasibility.
Flange Application Context
Flange Bolting Sets may be requested for process piping flanges, valves and pumps, heat exchangers, pressure-vessel flange connections, petrochemical equipment, chemical processing equipment, power-generation equipment and general industrial flange connections.
Suitability remains subject to the purchase specification, service conditions and responsible engineering review.
Marking and Set Identification
Set review may include component marking, Stud Bolt identification, Nut identification, Washer identification where required, item, lot or project identification, set tags or labels, separation by grade, size or set, and buyer-approved component list coordination.
Packing Configuration
Packing review may include separate component packing, matched set packing, kit packing, one-set-per-package where requested, packing by size, grade or component list, wooden crate packing, export packing and packing-list coordination.
Packing configuration should be confirmed before quotation and should follow the buyer-approved component list.
Documents and Inspection
Material documents are subject to order confirmation.
Buyers may request material documents, dimensional inspection, thread inspection, marking confirmation, component-list verification, coating or finish confirmation, packing inspection, third-party inspection and project-specific testing requests.
Scope, agency, schedule, availability and commercial impact should be confirmed before quotation.
Custom Set Review
Drawing- or specification-based review may cover special Stud Bolt form, custom length, custom thread, Heavy Hex Nut requirements, optional Washers, special marking, packing configuration, documents and inspection.
Custom requirements are reviewed for feasibility before quotation.
